Want to become a CIT?
The CIT program (15 years old) is geared for young people who want to be a camp counselor but are not yet 16 years of age. It is ideal for teenagers who enjoy the outdoors and working with young children. A CIT'S major role at camp is to be actively involved in all camp activities, working with other counselors and acting as a enthusiastic, responsible role model. They are given a lot of responsibilities including being with the younger children, helping with art and writing in nature journals run a “club” activity and work where ever needed.
Jr. CIT program (14 years old) Children who join the Jr. CIT program will get the benefit of attending camp (at a discounted rate) and learn skills that will make for a smooth transition to the CIT program. Jr CIT's have the unique position of being neither camper nor staff. This training year can help with the difficult transition from being a camper to being responsible for campers. Responsibilities include assisting the counselors, helping with the youngest campers and leading a “club” activity.
COST FOR JR CIT is $250 per session
