Arts and Crafts
The art projects encourage environmental awareness. Campers will reuse and re purpose things that are often thrown away, turning trash into treasures. By teaching through example, kids will think twice before tossing something into the garbage. Hopefully, this will make them more aware of the importance of conserving our limited resources in order to protect our planet.
Each day the campers rotate between all the activities. At midday, the entire camp has lunch together and campers, as well as their counselors,  are encouraged to play in the all-camp activity.
Outdoor Adventures
Each day, campers will play traditional games such as dodge ball, capture the flag, and kickball, all with a “nature twist”. On insect day, we might play capture the butterfly. When we are learning about birds, we might have an egg toss. Perhaps when exploring Stony Brook, we will play leapfrog. These games will help reinforce the message that we share the planet with lots of other creatures.

The campers will explore the woodlands, grasslands, and wetlands on the property. While doing activities such as fort building, steam exploration, raft building, bird watching, and gardening, the campers will learn about different habitats and all the creatures that call them home.
Games
Free choice
Campers are able to participate in an activity of their choosing. This will allow the children and counselors more time to participate in activities that most interest them. A counselor will supervise each activity and each activity will be limited to 6 campers. Activities include but not limited to: fort building, music, drawing, lacrosse, cooking, gaga ball, 4 Square, tether-ball, playing in our natural setting playground, story time or just relaxing on the hammock!
